The Free State will be hosting an afternoon session and welcomes you to join in on the informative networking session with noteworthy.



Advocate Bruce Macgregor,

A renowned Labour Lawyer and acting Labour Court Judge. He is a partner of Macgregor Erasmus Attorneys, a well known law firm with offices in Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Cape Town and Johannesburg. Bruce specialises in commercial, insurance and employment law.He is a specialist litigation attorney (BA LLB) with a focus on commercial disputes and labour matters, having practiced for 17 years and advises large corporate clients throughout South Africa. Bruce will cover the challenges we face in South Africa with service delivery protests, unemployment and the impact of retrenchments on our economy.

Felicia Msiza

CD (SA), is the Executive Director of Governance, Risk and Compliance of Raubex Group Limited and served on its main board as an Independent Non-executive Director since 2011. Felicia is an internal auditor by profession and is qualified with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a Highr Diploma in Taxation and a Masters in Business Administration with distinction for her thesis on Corporate Governance and Business Ethics. Felicia has extensive work experience in the field of governance and ethics, including internal audit, external audit and risk management. She previously served as Group Chief Audit Executive at Denel SOC, Director of Risk and Assurance at City Power SOC, Head of Internal Audit at the Independent Development Trust (IDT) and as a Partner and Director at SizweNtsaluba VSP.

Felicia is currently a Chartered Director and a board member of the Institute of Directors and also served on committees of other industry bodies in an advisory capacity. Felicia will cover the topic relating to Corporate Governance and ethics with particular emphasis on the required conduct of HR professionals.

Professor Desere Kokt,

Is currently associate professor in human resources management at the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT). She was lecturer/senior lecturer from 1999 to 2010 and research professor in leisure management from April 2010 to December 2014. She holds a Doctorate in Human Resources Management and has twelve years teaching experience at university level. Apart from being involved in post graduate supervision she has published in excess of thirty papers in peer-reviewed and other journals, delivered over twenty eight papers at national and international conferences and received the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for research excellence in 2009. She is a Master Human Resources Practitioner with the South African Board for Personnel Practice (SABPP) and has been a research grant holder of the National Research Foundation (NRF) from 2005 to 2011. She further has five years research management and administration experience as the chair of the Faculty Research Committee for the Faculty of Management Sciences. She is also part of the editorial board for the Journal for New Generation Sciences.
